If there is something you have to know about Mommy, it’s that she’s really an old-fashioned gal at heart. And was some sort of a Daddy’s girl.
Taking out a girl for a date for the first time, you really should make it a point to go to her house and ask for her parents’ permission first. Necessarily, you will have to meet her parents. And, of course, you will want to have discussed this with the girl first before going to her house.
Why do you need to do this? You want to show them what a well-brought up boy you are, you respect them, and you would like to assure them that their daughter is in good hands. (And you’d better make sure she is.)
Of course, as you grow older, you will date women who do not live with their parents anymore. But, as often as you can, it’s always nicer for you to pick up a girl at her place than ask her to meet you somewhere halfway for a date. It would communicate to the girl how you think she is special to you.
